GOT IT. I'll admit that I was really drawn to Drought because of it's captivating cover, the setting and by the author. Pam's writing is one that makes you think, and believe me, I thought a lot while reading Drought.

This book really threw me for a surprise, but not in the way I was expecting/5. The Drought is the fourth of Ballard’s books that I have read. (The others are The Drowned World, Concrete Island, and High-Rise.) I’m Drought book to his themes of isolation and alienation.

His association of inner world and outer world. And his misfit characters. It is especially the misfit characters that make The Drought feel like home/5.
